ATTENTION SENIORS! Late registration for the last SAT Exam of the summer is August 13th. If you plan on applying to a four year university in the fall then you need to have an SAT score. Not having a valid score by the beginning of the application process can move you back in the line of possible new enrollees. This can jeopardize your chances of being admitted to your target college. You will need to create an online College Board account to sign up for the test since it will be a late registration. It can only be done online (including payment). https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/register/august-2019

Taking another huge step forward for our program and community, we are glad to announce that our livestock barn is now complete! This great addition will allow for our program to advance forward and offer many opportunities to our students. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible these past two years.

Santiago Ramirez Miramontes Santiago started the school year as a quiet and shy student who did not have confidence in his academic abilities. Over the year this has changed dramatically. Santiago has the confidence and academic strength to answer questions correctly and share them with other students. He is often willing to participate and engage in math problems on the board to demonstrate and teach other classmates, and is the 1 st person to read out loud during our novel study of Charlotte’s Web. This student has been diligent and worked with rigor to complete all assignments and stayed afterschool on many days to work with Ms. Bai to finish up work from days absent. I am so proud of the accomplishments Santiago has made this year. Early in the year he completed the best Maidu project and earned the highest score in class. This trimester he has led a lesson on fractions, provided good dialogue during discussions and always works hard to try his best. He is a good friend, a helpful classmate and is developing into a wonderful student. Congratulations Santiago. Keep up the excellent work!!

In her nomination for student of the trimester, Miss Schmidt wrote: “This student is always helping others, is eager to learn and work their absolute hardest, and wants to continue to try their best at school. This student even goes as far as to ask for extra homework so they can practice more at home. This student’s handwriting, artistic abilities, as well as her mathematical skills have improved dramatically this school year. I could not be more proud of this student and being able to give them this award has made me incredibly happy. I hope that this student continues with this positive, helpful, and hardworking attitude! It is my absolute pleasure to be able to give student of the trimester, for our TK/ kindergarten class, to Kaylee Campbell. Congratulations!”

This student has truly blossomed this trimester. She comes to school everyday with a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn. She is engaged during lessons and tries her very best on every assignment. This student's strong work ethic, fabulous attitude, and caring heart make her the perfect "eagle" for this trimester! Congratulations, Nayli!!

3rd Trimester - 5th/6th Grade SOT The student of the trimester for 5th/6th grade is a student who always works hard to do their best, is respectful, goes above and beyond on every assignment, is helpful to their teachers and classmates, is a leader, and is a good friend and example to their peers. This student has shown tremendous growth this year. I know that I can always count on this student to be a good example and lead their classmates to do the right thing. I am positive that we can expect excellent things from this student in the future. The student of the trimester from Mrs. Johnson’s 5th/6th grade class for the third trimester is Aidynn Stevens.
