Ms. Claudia Cruz

Spanish Teacher, Art Teacher

Claudia Cruz was born in Chico, CA and raised in Hamilton City. She attended California State University, Chico and currently holds a California Single Subject Credential in Spanish (BCLAD) and a Master of Arts in Education.

After college, Cruz moved to San Jose, CA and taught for six years at a charter school. Some of her past students were teen parents, and most of them were the first in their family to go to college. She shares, "I can relate to many of these students because I too was the first in my family to attend college and I also was a teen parent." Attending college full time, working a part-time job, and taking care of her daughter proved to be both challenging and extremely motivating. Cruz continues, "I worked hard to fulfill my dreams and become the support system many students need outside of their homes. I carefully create my curriculum to engage, encourage, and guide my students toward a higher education."

Overall, she finds it a pleasure to be here at Princeton Jr./Sr. High School and looks forward to growing as an educator and getting to know the Princeton community.
