Mr. Anothony Peters

English Teacher






Mrs. Estella Herniman

Spanish, Art, ELD Teacher

Estella was born in Medford, Oregon. She graduated from California State University, Chico with a B.A. in Liberal Studies. She has a Multiple Subject teaching credential also from California State University, Chico. Estella has worked at Princeton since 2003 and has a variety of teaching experience. She currently teaches Art, Spanish, Credit Recovery, and ELD. She is also the 10th grade class advisor and MECHA advisor.

When she is not teaching she spends her time collecting Disney figurines, shopping, cooking and reading. She is married and has two children, her daughter Marisa and son Roberto. Estella believes being part of a student’s education and being able to work one on one with each of her students is very important.

Mr. Bryan Lex

Social Science, Physical Education Teacher

Bryan was born in Chico, CA. He attended both Butte College, Shasta College, and graduated from William Penn University, Iowa with a BA in History and teaching credential. He has worked for Princeton for 15 years. He is very involved with PJUSD as the Social Studies & P.E. instructor, Athletic Director, Football Coach, Baseball Coach, Jr. High Flag Football and Basketball Coach, Block P Advisor, 8th Grade Advisor.

Bryan and his wife Molly have two Labradors; Abby and Honey. When he is not teaching or coaching he spends his time fishing, gardening, and gold panning. He really enjoys working in a small school and community.

Mr. Nate Odom

Social Science, Lead Teacher

Nate was born in Chico, CA. He graduated from California State University, Chico with a BA in History along with a credential in Social Sciences. In addition to teaching history he coaches football and girls basketball.  Nate is also the ASB Advisor, Lead Teacher, and he runs the Student Store. He has worked for Princeton Jr./Sr. High School since 2010.

Nate and his wife Megan have two children; Bryant, 8 and Allison, 6. He also has an obnoxious Jack Russel Terrier named Tank. When Nate is not teaching or coaching he spends his time golfing, making home improvements, and playing fantasy football. Nate says what he enjoys most about working at PJUSD is “the close-nit atmosphere that our small school provides.  Because of that atmosphere we are able to get to know our students on a whole new level that promotes a better school experience for both teachers and students.”

Mrs. Chris Stillwell

7th-8th English, Home Ec, Physical Education Teacher

Chris was born in Lynwood, CA. She graduated from California State University, Chico with a BA in Liberal Studies and a liberal studies credential and English supplemental credential. This is her 29th year working at PJUSD; she started teaching in August 1986. Before teaching in Princeton she taught for one year in Elk Creek. Chris teaches 7th and 8th grade English and Home Ec. She also coaches junior high volleyball and basketball.

She has one son Hunter, 24 and one daughter Tayler, 21. When Chris is not teaching or coaching she enjoys being with her family, walking, swimming, reading, traveling, and bike riding. She has two dogs Mocha and Patch, a cat named Tiger and three horses Whiskey, Red, and Paint. Chris says “What I enjoy the most about working in Princeton are the students.  We have great kids!!!”

Ashlyn Bartlett

Cheer Coach

Ashlyn was born in Fairfield, CA and grew up in Stockton, CA.  She graduated from Bear Creek High School and currently attends California State University Chico where she is studying to become a high school agriculture teacher with a specialization in mechanics.  When she isn’t coaching the Princeton High cheer team, she loves dancing, drawing, and mixing music.  For pets, she has five fish.

When asked about what she enjoys most about working at Princeton, Ashlyn responded, “Working with young individuals who are motivated to grow not only as leaders but as people.”

Mr. Troy German

Math Teacher

Troy German was born in California and attended California State University, Chico for his B.S. in Mathematics.  Troy's hobbies include woodworking and tending to his two cats, three chickens, and one bee hive.

Troy will be returning as Princeton High's math teacher in 2016-17, and he says of Princeton, "I enjoy being a part of the community of Princeton and helping the children grow into young adults."

Mr. Amador Martinez

Agriculture Teacher

 Mr. Amador Martinez was born in Chico, CA and grew up in Orland, CA.  He graduated from Hamilton High School in 2010, and then attended California State University, Chico where earned a BS in Animal Sciences and a BS in Agricultural Sciences with an option in Agriculture Education.  He completed his teaching credential in 2017.

Amador’s hobbies include archery, bowling, fishing, working with animals, meeting new people, assisting with community service events, and spending time with family.

His current pets include a hamster, a parakeet, and two aquariums of fish.  Past pets have included a deer, a fox, an owl, rabbits, and an opossum.

Bai Vue

Education Specialist

 Bai Vue is Princeton’s education specialist teacher.  She was born in Chico, CA and grew up in Willows, CA and Chico.  She graduated from California State University Chico, with a BA in social work.  She is currently completing her teaching credential at Chico State.

Bai has two brothers and three sisters.  She loves spending time with her family and friends, and enjoys sewing and photography in her free time.

When asked about working at Princeton, Bai responded:  “I love the community at PJUSD.  I enjoy working with students of all ages.”
